Conquering the senses with gastronomic tours around Argentina

Gastronomic Tours around Argentina

AMONG THESE EXPERIENCES WE CAN FIND THE VISIT TO THE MONTAÑA BLANCA FACTORY, AN IDEAL PLACE FOR SWEET LOVERS

It is worth mentioning that this is also one of the destinations along the 'Tucumán

Wine Route', which has a history of more than 130 years in winemaking and passes through different wineries in the region, such as the Bodega Comunitaria los Amaichas (first community winery in South America), or Finca la Orilla, which offer tours of their factories and tastings.

Going a little further south we discover the province of San Juan, where some of the best wine grape varieties in Argentina are grown, such as Malbec, Bonarda, Cabernet, Criolla

or Cereza. It is also the second province of Argentina with the second largest cultivated area of vineyards, only behind Mendoza, so it plays an essential role in the production of wine in the country.

In order to make its wine heritage known, San Juan offers different tours along the province's Wine Route. Through the Tulum Valley, the Pedernal Valley, the Calingasta Valley, the

Fertile Valley or the Ullum-zonda Valley, you can discover the wonderful landscapes of San Juan, full of vineyards, and visit different wineries that offer guided tours and tastings, even the opportunity to cut the grapes from the vine itself.

It is also known as the Olive Route, which focuses on the traditional production of olive oil and canned olives, and of course to taste

IN EVERY REGION OF THE COUNTRY, WE FIND DELICIOUS DISHES, SUCH AS EMPANADAS OR ASADO, PRODUCTS OF EXCELLENT QUALITY, SUCH AS ARGENTINE BEEF CUTS OR WINES FROM MENDOZA

them. This route takes place in the cities of Pocito, Rivadavia and San Juan capital.

As in Tafí del Valle, in San Juan you can also enjoy a gastronomy based on typical Argentinian dishes, such as the aforementioned puchero, the humita, the machacado sanjuanino (a stew with meat, potatoes, onion, rice) or the dulce de membrillo rubio de San Juan, which even has its own denomination of origin. Framed in a region that is mainly known for being the main wine producing province, Malargüe, in Mendoza, offers alternative proposals that are worth discovering. Although it is true that in the surroundings of the city you can visit some of the several wineries and wine-related experiences available in the region, Malargüe has much more to offer.

Among these experiences we can find the visit to the Montaña Blanca factory, an ideal place for sweet lovers, as there they show the public the process of elaboration of their handmade chocolates, chocolates and alfajores. They will also be able to enjoy one of the emblematic

products of the city, such as red fruits. These are largely grown in Malargüe, and this fame is largely due to the work of Finca La Anita Frutos de Montaña, a family company engaged in the organic agricultural production of blackberries, blackcurrants, cassis and raspberries.

Other products you cannot miss in Malargüe's restaurants are trout or goat (kid meat). In order to acknowledge the great quality of the latter, which is probably the Malargüe product par excellence, the National Goat Festival is celebrated every year in the city. Numerous shows are organized, hundreds of roasted goats are prepared, a gastronomic contest is held and products made by local craftsmen are sold.

As you can see, these three destinations in the country offer a range of spectacular gastronomic experiences, which are sufficient justification for a tour around them.
