MADE IN CUBA… FOR A DIGITAL REVOLUTION

Novelty, innovation and proven usefulness were the name of the game of all the products, services and solutions presented during the 18th edition of the Informatica, the fair held from March 22 to 25 through Fevexpo, an unprecedented online platform on the island.

Sixty-one exhibitors participated in the international fair, which for the first time included economic actors from the non-state sector.

A virtual business forum facilitated the presentation of 24 projects, including those of Haier-China, People Walking-Spain and S3-Letonia.

Among the most eagerly awaited moments were the Cuba Stand awards. The Jury's Grand Prize went to Transfermóvil, from Etecsa, with more than 2.6 million users and around 18 new services incorporated in the last few years.

XETID's Ficha Única del Ciudadano, which facilitates interoperability in the provision of services and legal procedures, received a mention.

In the category of Cybersecurity Solutions, the award went to Segurmática for its Mobile

Security software for Android version 1.2, and the mentions went to Softel's e-Signature APK and DATYS' HORUS Information Analysis Platform.

In the E-Government and E-Commerce Services and Applications category, DESOFT's E-Government Digital Ecosystem received the award, and the mentions went to the Global Distribution System for Tourism Services, from the MSME Guajiritos, and D'Viajeros, from DATYS.

The jury's special prize for being the company with the largest number of innovative solutions, with 16 products, went to XETID. Meanwhile, the Union of Cuban Informatics awarded the RX-COVID19 project, from the Avangenio MSME, in conjunction with the Center for Neurosciences (CNEURO) and the Cuban Society of Imaging.

For Solutions and applications of robotics, electronics and automation, mention was given to the Xetid projects: Intelligent Transport Management and Batchiplant. Meanwhile, for Management Solutions, Services and Telecommunications Infrastructure, DESOFT's Portecoos, aimed at integrated logistics management for the port community, received an award; and DESOFT's Water Resources Management and XETID's System for the Development of the Energy Carrier Economy Plan received mentions.

The Grupo Empresarial de la Informática y las Comunicaciones (Geic), an institution that brings together leading companies in the informatization process of Cuban society, was the organizer of the event, which has become a reference when it comes to the country's digital transformation.
