Tips for divers
The main entry points are the town of Júcaro, Ciego de Ávila and from the Península de Ancón Marina in Trinidad.
The main activities are contemplative diving and sport fishing with the modalities of trolling, spinning and/or fly.
Among its dive sites, there can be found: Vincent, Montaña Rusa, Farallón, Pipín, Patricia, La Cana, Cabezo de la Cubera, Cueva del Pulpo, Coral Negro 1 and 2, Túnel Azul, Pequeño Paraíso and others.
Sharks are one of the main attractions since 6 different species coexist: silky shark, reef shark, lemon shark, blacktip shark, great hammerhead shark and nurse shark.
Annual average temperature of 26º to 29ºC, average horizontal visibility between 20 and 40m, without strong ocean currents.
Customers come mainly from the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Italy, Spain, Russia, and the Czech Republic.
Diving is usually deep, generally deeper than 20m. It is necessary to have an advanced diving certificate.
